In the world of slam, it is generally the case that free verse and loose rhyme scheme are the standard. Tonight, we change it up for the slam in our annual FORM SLAM!! To make it all the way through the slam, poets are required to bring three form poems for the night. If you do not meet the theme, you cannot earn points towards semi-finals, or be counted as having participated in a theme slam.

Furthermore, this is the very LAST theme slam of the year. As theme slam participation is one of the requirements to make semi-finals, poets who have not competed in one by tonight will not have a chance to make semi-finals, regardless of their current points total & rank. 

 We have added two forms to the accepted list from last year. As with last season, the Sestina, Pantoum, Bop, and Ghazal are accepted. But this year, we are also accepting the Villanelle and various forms of the Sonnet!

The open mic will be smoldering as always. List opens at 7, show starts at 7:30. There are several reserved spots for people who participate in the FREE workshop that starts at 6. Drinks are 2-4-1 and DJ Eliel Lucero will be keeping it moving from the booth.
