KEEP THE POETS QUIET

shh..
keep the poets quiet
put them in a back room
whip them with words
that mean one thing
no thing
shut them up
they speak of revolution
in codes over break beats
and jazz bleats
their methods of war
plans for revolt
slave songs long gone ignored
they'll make us sore losers
chose Her as God
plant seed in sod not barren
teach their children peace
