JaygeeohJulia O'Farrow aka Jaygeeoh is a "part-time"poet and full-time film maker. As a lover of poetry & film she gets to combine her two loves in an upcoming documentary about spoken word artists trying to make a living from their art titled: "And The Money Will Follow." She completed her MFA in Media Arts production at the City College of New York and has worked as an Editor on several short films, an Assistant Editor for the PBS documentary and baby makes two, and as intern for films, Marcus Garvey: Look For Me in the Whirlwind and Half Past Autumn: the Life & Works of Gordon Parks. Her short ten minute narrative "Under The Influence" which has screened at several festivals including NY's Anthology Film Archives was inspired her poem "Captivation" which appears in her chapbook Flowing Freely. She is currently self-distributing her award winning documentary Beyond The Bars/No Extended Embraces. |
